What do I need to do to be evaluated?
Please call our office at 480-855-0474 to schedule an appointment. The evaluation process will last at least an hour.
How do I know if my loved one needs speech therapy?
Teachers, Case Manager, child care workers, pediatricians, family physician and family members may have expressed concerns or you may just have noted some concerns yourself. If you are concerned about your child’s speech, please review the developmental milestones detailed on our website.
Does Milestone Pediatrics accept insurance?
Yes, we accept Arizona Long Term Care (ALTCS) and Blue Cross Blue Shield . Please contact us to discuss any specific questions or to find out if your insurance program or plan is able to be accepted.
Do you offer a cash rate?
Yes. Please contact us for further information.
What days and/or hours do you work?
Because we treat clients in several environments (ie: our clinic, clients schools, online, homes, etc) and with a family-centered approach, our hours are flexible. Our therapists typically workMonday-Friday, from 8:00-6:00, however later evening and weekend appointments are available with some therapists. Please contact us to discuss a therapy schedule or if you must request a special time, such as an evening.
What happens during a therapy session?
At Milestone Pediatrics, our therapy sessions are tailored to each client, addressing their individual goals. With our pediatric population, we will integrate numerous approaches, such as play therapy, Floor time, ABA, etc. so that the child is easily engaged and in the most natural environment possible, whether it be in the home or at our clinic.
What is your cancellation/attendance policy?
We ask that all scheduled appointments be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance so that we may offer that appointment time to our other patients. Because we value both our client’s and staff’s time, failure to give at least 24 hours notice for any reason other than sudden illness could result in a cancellation fee of $25 (private pay or non-DDD clients only).
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If the client is receiving services in another setting, our therapists will make every effort to arrive on time. If you are going to be late, kindly call to notify us. Please understand that if you are late to an appointment, you may receive a shortened therapy session, asked to reschedule, or cancelled altogether and marked as a no-show/late cancel.
Our therapists are in great demand, and as a result, we are unable to accommodate individuals that have repeated no-shows. No-shows/late cancels are defined as cancellations with no notice or less than 24 hours notice. IF CANCELLATIONS AND/OR NO-SHOWS ARE IN EXCESS OF 2 no-shows in a 4 week period, YOUR CHILD/LOVED ON MAY BE AT RISK FOR BEING DISCONTINUED from therapy services.
